  1. Thanks Roy, we weren't aware of this. It is detecting numerical noise when off. We can fix this for the next version.
  2. Hi Roy, I'm pretty sure we can do this for the next version. We will get back to you.
  3. Hi Roy, we've fixed this issue in the latest version of Ventsim DESIGN 6.0.1.9 which you can find here: Patches | Ventsim® Thank you for contacting us about this, any problems, let us know.
  4. Hi Ruan, we've added this feature in the latest released version of Ventsim DESIGN 6.0.1.9, which you can find here: Patches | Ventsim® Thanks for the feedback!
  5. Hi Mark, Sorry you've had this problem. This was a bug with an early version of Ventsim 6.0. If you go to the following link and download and install the latest version you will see the problem should go away. Patches | Ventsim® Let me know how you go.
  6. Hi Haran, Go to your Visibility Manager and check that your transparency options are all on. If still happening, send us an email at ventsim.support@howden.com, either with a model, or some screenshots. Also go to Help | About and tell us which version of the software you are using.
  7. Hi Roy, we've fixed this issue. Apologies. We will release a new version soon. I will post here again when it is available. Thanks for getting in touch.
  8. Sounds like you need to activate the license Azli, or there is a problem with it. Send us an email at ventsim.support@howden.com with the details and we will sort out what is happening.
  9. Hi Roy, sorry you've had this problem. I've just recreated it myself. Will investigate more and get back to you. We will fix this for the next version.
  10. Buenos dias Carlos, por favor, envianos un correo a ventsim.support@howden.com y veramos como reglar esa problema.
  11. What do you know about the heat exchanger? Do you have a specification document? It might tell you what the expected loss from the exchanger is. Otherwise, we can perhaps make guesses from the geometry of it.
  12. Hi! Do you want to simulate heat flow in the pipes? Or do you want to simulate the resistance to flow caused by a heat exchanger?
  13. Hi Mark, The Strict Mode Fixed Flows option should generate warnings for any fixed flows that are adding pressure. If the fixed flow is adding resistance, it won't throw a warning. If you have pressure-adding fixed flows (the green ones) that are not generating a warning with the option on, then there is something wrong. In that case please send us the model at ventsim.support@howden.com and we will work out what is happening.
  14. The spreadsheet as mentioned is very useful for this. You also have access to a Distance and time to Refuge bay colour properties which can be useful. The dark blue areas will be 0 distance, ie where your refuges are. If you just want to find the refuge wbay, you can use the Find Select tool to cycle through them Finally on the spreadsheet, drag the refuge bay present property to the top to group by that property, then you will a row for each refuge bay, which you can right click on to find in the viewer. You can also save spreadsheet views if this is something you want to do regularly.
  15. Hi Phil, I've sent you a message through the forum's direct message service.
  16. Ah thank you, I see it now. Definitely a bug, apologies for that. We will fix that in the next version. I can also send a test version to you with the fix if you like. Please let me know. Thanks again.
  17. This is now out in Ventsim DESIGN version 6.0.1.7. The new Radon Simulation method calculates correct radon progeny levels for long residence times (>70 minutes).
  18. Hi Phil, Sorry you've had this problem. To be clear, can you please tell us which Preset you are looking at (Explosives, Combustion Fuels, Battery Combustion or Gas Mixtures) and also tell us which version of the software you are using? You can find the version number by going to Help | About on the Ventsim main window.
  19. Hi Roy, as discussed via email, the calculation Ventsim is relying on to calculate this is not correct for residence times longer than about 70 minutes. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We've redone the calculation ourselves, so that it is correct for all residence times. This will appear in a new version soon.
  20. Thanks Nathan, have found the problem here, the value is not correctly updating for changes made to diameter and density when using the Enter as Velocity. This will be fixed for the next version.
  21. Hi Nathan, This is a good location for your post. Determining the correct area for your survey is critical and appreciate your contributions here. It's something we are dealing with often. These are the sort of things we will be considering for the next Ventlog version.
  22. Hi Nathan, As I wrote on your other post! Thank you, we have noted the requests and will look at doing this for the updated version of Ventlog planned for later in the year.
  23. Hi Nathan, Thank you for your thoughts on this. We will consider this for an updated version of Ventlog we are planning for later in the year.
