Thomas Bohdal
Hi, What does the primary secondary option in the Fans tool do?
Martin Griffith
Hi Thomas, It doesn't do much at the moment. We added it so that users could divide their fans into Primary and Secondary, since most often it's the Secondary/Auxiliary fans that users are trying to save power on, and for the potential to help Ventsim Control work out which are the Secondary fans. But there isn't much you can do with it yet. There is a small mention of the Primary/Secondary breakup in the Summary form, but we need to add more here, such as what is the power breakup between the Primary and Secondary fans. So more development to be done. I think the first thing to do would be to add some more information in the Summary form, and to add something in the Advanced Find Select. Any other ideas you have for it would be welcome!
RODRIGO NUNAN G. MNONTEIRO
Hello! Could you tell me how I can specify if the fan is a primary or a secondary fan? I couldn't find in the fan tool where to specify this. Thanks in advance
DSepulveda
Hi Rodrigo You can specify if it's a primary or secondary fan in the fan edit box, next to the rest of the fans settings. Let me know if it worked. Kind regards.

DSepulveda
Hi Rodrigo I have checked and the option is available regardless if the fan is currently placed in the model or not. Please feel free to give me a call and we can check together what the issue might be. Kind regards.
