MineVent101
Why does the Ventsim program assume the incompressibility of the air in the network. Is this a fair assumption to be made in the program?
Martin Griffith
Hi, for some mines, for example shallow ones, compressibility is not a big factor, so they use incompressible air. But most deeper mines have Compressible Flow enabled. You can do this in the Settings menu of the main Ventsim form. After simulating you should see changes in air density around your model. ManuelGP
Hello, Mine air is compressible, otherwise it would be considered an ideal gas and the laws of physics could not be applied to the power of the fan motor and other factors that regulate a calibration inside the mine. No matter how small the mine is, it must be considered compressible to avoid errors.
