Joshua Kroll
The unique number representing some airways is being rounded and is losing its last digit. E.g. 1.384645E+07. How can I get these values to stop rounding?
Martin Griffith
Hi Joshua, It might be useful to resequence the unique numbers. Firstly, save your model in a separate file. Then go to Tools | Airways | Resequence Unique Numbers. This will reset all of the unique numbers, so that the maximum unique number should be roughly equal with the number of airways in the model. There is a possibility that doing this may upset any Activity Tracks or Advanced Message boxes in the model, so check that those are unchanged after doing this (if you use these features) Feel free to send us the model if you like and we can carry it out and check for any problems. Joshua Kroll
Hi Martin, Unfortunately that didn't seem to help. It is still displaying the airways in that odd format. I think we just have that many airways. I have removed some of the stages in a test file to confirm it works with less airways (it does). Do you think this format could be changed in future updates? Or possibly have the # of digits before this kicks in extended? Edited August 15 by Joshua Kroll Included # of airways per stage for reference
Martin Griffith
Hi Joshua, It's a bit odd that it is still getting up to 20 million. I think at this point, it would be a good idea to send us the model and we can take a look at it and work out what is happening. Preferably send us the model from before you ran the unique number resequencing. The model will be treated confidentially. you can send it to ventsim.support@chartindustries.com , or alternatively, send it to me using the forum direct message service. Martin Griffith
For this problem, it looks like you need to simulate after doing the resequence, to update to the new unique numbers.
Joshua Kroll
Yes that makes it work. Thanks Martin!
