Hi

A minor but useful change for me would be for user icons to change when the item is turned off

Below is a shot of two 1.6MWR chillers on a conveyor drift, there are ten spread over the whole mine

For various simulations, these may be on or off.

However, the user defined icons do not change colour when you have the item applied but turned off

Any chance you could have a tick box or something that changes the icon e.g. inverts colours, turn grey, red line through them when they are off

Thought I was going mad

I caught the problem on video - appears to work sometimes on my laptop but not on my desktop

I am using patch version 5.4.3.8

I changed icon size from 20 to 50 - works until you move the slider bar then goes back to 20

I have downloaded latest patch

You can change Icon size to more than 20 in settings but as soon as you move the slider bar on the display tool it still goes back to 20

Have I missed something?

Any chance you could add a selection option in the databox manager to turn different data boxes on and off?

I often have a number of data boxes covering heat  or pressure or flow etc - showing all of them large enough to see then obscures the model or other data boxes.

What I want to be able to do is select which ones are showing at any one time

Yes please. It is often useful to show clients where I have allocated heat, gas, VCDs etc. Often need larger size icons for clarity

I think that this is a bug but I may have missed a click somewhere

I want to make icons larger than the setting (size 20) and slider to 100%

So I went into the settings list - size - changed Icons from 20 to 40

Worked but then as sonn as you change the screen or move the icon size slider bar it goes straight back to 20 in settings (looks like this is a default max that cannot be changed ?)

Happened again and I caught it

I have a heat preset called BSL - 460kW to which I have assigned an icon

I then changed the heat preset on an airway to BSL

This set the correct heat preset value but the Icon is wrong - a different one in the list

I had run airflow and heat simulation and it remained wrong. When I deleted the preset (set to Nil) then put it back in it worked again.

Appears there is a bug in how the icons are referenced - hard to find as it does not happen every time.

What I really want to do is place large pictures on a ventsim model so they are visible e.g. the following shows where CMs are operating in a coal mine

This is an excel shot where I pasted the pictures on.

As I understand it, I can add these pictures to a ventsim model as a texture then reference scale and move BUT each one has to be a separate reference which I cannot easily copy and paste. They also do not rotate with the screen view

I was hoping that I could put the picture into a single "frame" like a message box then copy and paste at will with each copy just referencing the same picture

When you insert a row in the heat presets the associated icons do not move accordingly i.e. they all change for the same preset name

Not sure if this is the same for other icons and presets

Thanks Martin - I may have confused myself - when I did a network reset then ran again , the double heat load problem went away

Also - what effect does belt pile thickness have - I see the default is 0

Does the model take into account the difference in cooling from a thicker pile i.e. the skin cools faster than the core ?

Overall works but problem with copying airways (same as my previous problem)

When I create a conveyor the conveyor "airways" are in a group

If I copy the conveyor and attached airways (e.g. a belt road) in wire frame then all the airways and links are copied BUT the two conveyors are linked as a group.

This puts twice as much heat into BOTH sets of attached airways

Can you fix this please.

Any chance you could add the option to put an icon in the background of a text box or alternative target  shape (instead of only having the option to put a picture in as a texture or back ground).

I thought I had seen this before but I cannot get it to work on latest version - maybe I have forgotten how it is done?

I find it very handy to put pictures in to the pre set resistances etc - but I want to add more information not directly related to the simulation e.g. location of a continuous miner, refuge bay etc.

Hi

When you create a vent duct with leakage, the leakage paths are hidden but show up in wire frame.

If you select a model then move airways to another stage then all airways and ducts have the new stage settings applied but the leakage paths do not.

The only way to do this is by doing the stage change in wire frame.

I did not know this - can you change so leakage paths are included even if hidden or highlight this in the manual (I could not see it)

Any chance you could have an overall toggle type selection to change all value colours from default text colour  to the same as the displayed airway colour e.g. same as airway type so intakes are blue, returns are red etc. Just makes it easier to look at more complex 3D models where text values are close to each other but on various levels.

To be clear - this caused a simulation fail and not just a series of warnings. All worked ok when I changed the presets
