Customer
Hi I’ve noticed a glitch in the fan database. I wanted to have a blank model with some of our curves in it, so I deleted all the default Ventsim curves and added the ones I wanted in. See model attached. With that model then loaded I selected File – Defaults – Save, with the assumption that then saves the fan database I have loaded into the Ventsim defaults? But then when I fire up Ventsim now, with no model loaded, it gives me the attached – the original defaults have overwritten what I put in? I’ve saved just a blank model showing this and it is attached.
John Armstrong
Yes your right, there seems to be an issue with the default blank project file created when you first run Ventsim™creates an example fan set (comes with Ventsim™) and merges that set with the default collection saved by the user. However the easy workaround is to click the new project again, and the new blank project is correctly setup (i.e contains the saved defaults only) Will get this fixed in the next release, please let me know if the workaround works for you? Customer
OK that is fine, just wanted to make you aware that it was overwriting the fan database with the defaults. Thank you!
