Customer
Hello, I am currently completing some LOM ventilation simulations which involve mounting secondary fans (with self-closing isolation doors) into walls of Fresh Air Rises. I am wondering if there is a best or accepted method of Simulating this in VentSim? I am unable to place a fan and an obstruction (such as a wall or regulator) in the same drive segment. Thanks for your assistance Kind Regards,
Craig Stewart
Hi Thanks for the question. The accepted method of this is to create a ventilation duct (use the DUCT tool in Ventsim if you want) in the airway leading away from the shaft. Place a bulkhead or regulator in the airway beneath the duct, and place the fan in the duct above the airway. Let me know if you need further description or information.
