Multiple Stage Changes without STAGE LOCK

Stages are a useful tool to plan and model multiple phases of a mine life.  The STAGE lock feature is an important option to assist the user in making a change in one stage without affecting other stages.  However there may be a requirement to make changes in several stages simultaneously without affecting other stages.  For example you may need a fan installed in all future stages after the current stage. In this case, the STAGE lock tool is unsuitable.

Instead the user will need to manually apply the changes WITHOUT using STAGE lock.

To do this

  1. EDIT the airway, and uncheck all other STAGE boxes where you want this to occur - then click APPLY
  2. Click the MAKE A DETACHED COPY of the airway button (the double circle next to the stage check boxes) then unclick the stages you DON'T WANT to change and click on all the STAGE boxes you DO WANT to change.
  3. Make a change (bulkhead, fan etc) and press OK or APPLY.

This changed airway will now show modified on only your selected stages.
