Customer
Hi,I have a question that maybe you can help us to solve about how VentSim is working. When we are creating a Fan, we draw the curve for an air density (normally 1,2-surface). But depending where the fan is install we will have a different density and will be some changes in the curves of the fans. Do we have to consider that, or asking for the fan curve for this specific density?Do Ventsim calculation this changes? Thanks for your time. Craig Stewart
Hi Ventsim automatically recalculates the fan curve to the density simulated in the airway in the model. You do not need to consider this. Just make sure when you enter the fan curve that the specified manufactures fan curve density for the fan sheet is used (eg 1.2kg/m3) In the model, the airway density is set at the surface using the SETTINGS - SIMULATION - ENVIRONMENT, and the remaining underground airway densities are simulated based from this surface settings. When the fan is placed in the airway, the fan curve is automatically adjusted to the simulated air density. Craig
