Andrzej Szmuk
Good morning. Is it possible to model airflow (with automatic, preliminary determination of aerodynamic resistances). I manage to create objects from the point cloud in the form of dxf, and I would like it to be a ventilation route. please help. With respect, Szmuk Andrzej
Martin Griffith
Hi Andrzej, thanks for your question. Converting 3D solids to airways is very difficult. Ventsim has a Convert Any tool, but it is not very reliable, and particularly unreliable if you are converting difficult shapes like the ones you have above. Your best bet in this case is to draw the airways yourself and adjust the size and shape accordingly. Using the Draw Tool (with the reference lock on) and it should snap to the reference graphic surface which will help you align the airways. When modelling complicated shapes with Ventsim airways there is necessarily a degree of simplification, so use your own judgement regarding how many airways you use and how much time you want to spend matching airway sizes. I hope this helps, let us know how you go.
