Bruno
Dear, I would like to make a comparison between field data and ventsim data, but field data is in a spreadsheet in excel. Is there any way for ventlog to import data from a spreadsheet? Best Regards Bruno Mota de Oliveira
Martin Griffith
Hi Bruno, It's possible to enter the data manually to the database using Access, but you would need to know your way around Microsoft Access. The other option is that we do it for you. I will send you a message through the forum Messages tool.
Roy Moreby
Hi Bruno I prefer to do everything in excel so the fastest method is to give your key airway points a name starting with either z or a e.g. z-No.1 Shaft for No.1 Shaft. Then set up the Ventsim spreadsheet with the columns you want. When you want to compare, open the Venstim spreadsheet then click on sort ascending or descending, select all your main points which will be collated by a or z, copy and paste into excel where you then have all the excel functions for analysis e.g. vlookup to cross match with your field data. Hope this helps
