Margaret Schafferius
How can we simulate the oxygen consumption of a large group of people standing in a designated area?
Margaret Schafferius
Create a VentFIRE script and simulate each person or group of people as an oxygen consuming material. You can define this in the combustibles presets and define how much oxygen is consumed and the CO2 produced for each person. Then specify the metabolic rate to produce 100-150 Watts per person. The simulation should predict the decrease of oxygen and increase of CO2 over time. Diesel simulation in VentSim does not consider oxygen. But VentFIRE diesel burning does. The fire script can remain the same - if you simulate it over a long time it will become stable and steady state. Mines do not consider people oxygen consumption because the ventilation systems are designed for diesel machines which far exceed human requirements. Stalin
Hi Margaret, How do you create the combustibles presets and define how much oxygen is consumed and the CO2 produced for each person in Ventsim? Where you specify the metabolic rate to produce 100-150 Watts per person in Ventsim? Best regards, JB
