  1. Hi Roy,

That property should show the moisture input. It is an output property, so it will only update after you simulate.

Otherwise, it might be some other problem. If it persists, perhaps you can send us the model (or a portion of it), as well as the version number of the software you are using.

  2. Hi Roy,

In the spreadsheet, the Airway Name property just shows the first line of the Airway Name. If the airway has a name, then that's the first line. If it doesn't, then it gets something else, like a Heat Preset, and makes that the name.

If you want just the Heat Preset name in a property, you should see it here:

Let us know if this clears it up for you and does/doesn't give you what you need.

  3. Hi Michael,

Firstly you should thoroughly check over your fan configuration and be confident it is modelled correctly. Do you have a measured flow rate as well? Is this measured duty point on the fan curve?

Once you are confident of the fan set up, then the pressure difference would suggest that you are overshooting the network resistance of your mine. So you would have to investigate the model and try to determine where it might be that too much resistance is specified; this could be coming from e.g. airways sizes, friction factors, shock factors, regulator resistances....

A good place to start is the Audit Tool, which you can find in the Tools menu. Open this and it will run you through a few things to check in your model. It has a button which colours the model by an appropriate colour to investigate the question that each page asks. I would go through that first.

Let us know how you go.

  4. Hi Ruan,

Firstly, click on the green plus button on the Levels tab of the Display Manager. Then either enter in your own levels, or click the magic wand to automatically generate levels.

Then, you can right click in the viewer and select Clip Level. Click on an airway and the view will clip to the corresponding level. Or drag a fence to clip multiple levels. Page Up and Page Down will scroll through the levels.

You can also just directly hit the Page Up or Page Down buttons and it will start scrolling through the levels starting from where your grid is currently focused.

In all cases, hitting Show all (shortcut: End) will show all levels.

  5. Hi Haran,

Go to your Visibility Manager and check that your transparency options are all on.

If still happening, send us an email at ventsim.support@howden.com, either with a model, or some screenshots. Also go to Help | About and tell us which version of the software you are using.
