Andre Broodryk
I there a way to simulate the effect of an air blast from a known mass of rock fall in an area?
Florian Michelin
Hi Andre, Under the fire tab in the edit form you will find a blast overpressure function. You can enter the pressure generated by the rock fall there. To run the blast simulation, under the fire simulation icon click on blast pressure sim. This will calculate the dissipation time as well peak pressure, peak velocity, etc Let me know that suit your requirement. Florian
PMeisburger
Several others of us have used the dynamic event modeling in fire modeling to simulate this. To do that you need to have previously calculated flow as a function of time after the event. Happy to discuss more - feel free to email me - I have some interesting literature on the subject I would be happy to pass along. pmeisbur AT fmi.com
